On Saturday 15th June 2019, Charley, Freya, Sandy and I (Lois) will be taking part in the Eddystone Charity Sailing Pursuit. This is a 26 mile sail to the Eddystone Lighthouse and back in a 20ft Hawk Keelboat which can be seen in our profile picture!
This year, there is an award for a girls only boat, so fingers crossed for some girl power!
All the money that the boats raise will go to charities that benefit the human condition. Ours, naturally, will be going to Horizons Children's Sailing Charity.
'Horizons' helps disadvantaged and disabled children from the inner city communities of Plymouth by getting them sailing in a safe, relaxed and fun environment away from the troubles of home and school life. If you would like to read more about the charity, please go to www.horizonsplymouth.org.
