Lindsay's Great North Run for HUG 10/09/2017

I enjoy running (well more jogging or fast paced walking!) to keep me fit and I always like to raise money for charity whenever I take part in an organised event. After years of should I or shouldn't I, I have finally put my name down for the one of the famous events in the World - The Great North Run (half marathon). This year I am running for a charity very close to my Heart, HUG (Help, Understanding and Glamour). This amazing breast cancer charity started back in 2006 by 3 lovely ladies who were all going through their treatment for breast cancer. One of these lovely ladies is a very dear friend of mine and a friend who continues to inspire me everyday by her selfless acts and her sheer determination and strength. I was really honoured when HUG contacted me and asked if I would like to take one of their dedicated charity spaces at the GNR. Of course I would! This charity has helped and continues to help so many women through one of the most scariest times in their lives.
