Hi, I'm Sam, age 11, and this is my Mum, Shuna. We are both swimming in the Great North Swim in Lake Windermere on the 10th June. My mum and I will be doing the 250 metre swim, and my mum will do the 2 mile swim as well! (I'll get there one day!).
Friends of Meersbrook Bank is the charity, run by volunteers, that supports Meersbrook Bank Primary School, where I've been a pupil for almost eight years, and my brother has been a pupil for almost five years.
As a small, one-class intake city school, Meersbrook Bank is woefully underfunded. In particular, we would like to fundraise to help children from low income families attend the Year 6 residential. After a difficult two years of Covid, all final year students should be able to access this final celebratory event before going to Secondary School.
