Hello
This Sunday I am going to attempt to run a 10k in Salford. I decided to this ages ago but then various life things got in the way and now it is THIS SUNDAY. So I haven't really trained, and I have never run 10k before in my life, so please sponsor me!
I am raising money for an excellent charity that helps to reduce the isolation of older people by providing a home away from home. The Salfordian Hotel provides accessible and safe accommodation for those who need it and really makes a difference as without this facility there are people who may never take a break from home.
Two very dear friends of mine spend nearly all of their free time fundraising to help to keep this charity going. They are not only an inspiration in their charity work, but they also always go above and beyond to help their friends in need - they have got me and Michael out of more pickles than I can remember. So this fundraising is as much about honouring and supporting these two special people as it is raising funds for a very important charity.

The Salfordian Trust supports guests who have a wide range of needs. Guests meet new friends during their stay and often these friendships are maintained when they return home.
In addition to the above, the Trust provides valuable respite facilities so that families know that their loved ones are well looked after during their stay.
Satisfaction rates run at over 98% and many guests return each year.
The Trustees work hard to continually maintain standards and improve services based on guest feedback. Every penny raised will go towards improving the guest facilities.
