This May, I am taking on the challenge of running 100K as part of the May 100 Challenge for Flamingo Chicks. I am not a runner (!?!) but this charity is worth every step!
Flamingo Chicks is a fantastic Bristol based charity that have created an inclusive community which gives all children, including disabled children and those with illness, the opportunity to enjoy dance and explore movement alongside friends. They also provide a vital peer support network for parents and carers, intergenerational volunteering, global outreach and advocacy!
Flamingo Chicks is a community tackling social isolation using dance as a mechanism. 72% of parents and carers say they are now better able to cope with the demands of caring for a disabled child. 94% told us Flamingo Chicks has made them re-evaluate what their child is capable of.
