Team Fundraisers
In June I’ll be running a 10k (gulp!) to raise money for The Welcoming, in Edinburgh. They’re a charity who support refugees in the area, providing English language classes, food, social groups and more. I work with refugee children from Syria, teaching them how to read and write, and of course speak English - getting to see them grow in confidence, and watch them come to life as they learn new things each week has been one of the greatest privileges of my entire career (and my life). Through them I’ve seen the deep and profound impact that being included, and having a sense of community can have and I’d love to help The Welcoming gain more funds to extend this confidence and sense of belonging to other refugees in Edinburgh :)
