My Dad moved to Woodland View NHS nursing home last year after a few, very difficult years with dementia. I ran my 1st half marathon last year to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society, but this year I wanted to up the ante and do it for something closer to home.
Woodland View is a home for patients with challenging dementia and the facilities and support they offer is second to none, all on an NHS budget.
So whilst 26 and a bit miles is a little daunting, I know that any money raised will go to a fantastic cause and even though the training is quietly killing me, I'm confident that come the day, it'll all be worth it!
