It’s an amazing Spiritual journey following the footsteps of St. Cuthbert from Melrose Abbey in Melrose, Scotland, through the Scottish Borders to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) in Northumbria, England.
But its not just a walk, I want to raise vital funds for a new venture “The Homeless Pastors” In a nutshell, the founder felt called to become a homeless pastor in 2014 and as a response created the Happydays homeless charity. This whole experience was amazing but again, over the years, I felt God calling me back to being a homeless pastor. Www.thehomelesspastors.org
It’s really exciting times because, he is not pushing the concept anywhere but find different churches and charities around the UK are wanting to get involved… Manchester, Blackpool, St, Helens, Wigan, Colne, Keighley, Cambridge and London.
So back to the walk….we will travel up to Melrose on Wednesday 17th April in the afternoon setting off at 2pm in a minibus and will start walking on the Thursday morning after breakfast.Thursday 18/4 Day 1 Melrose to Harestanes 24km (15miles)Friday 19/4 Day 2 Harestanes to Kirk Yetholm 28km (17.5miles)Saturday 20/4 Day 3 Kirk Yetholm to Wooler 19.2km (12 miles)Sunday 21/4 Day 4 Wooler to Holy Island 28.8km (18miles)
