As everyone else now, I've been looking for Christmas presents during the last few weeks. I've been amazed that a selfless couple asked for nothing, but a small donation to a homeless charity!
I have to admit that my focus was on my loved ones and children in need, but their wish is so important, that I decided to not just make the donation but to try to encourage my friends to join me and support people at Snowflake Night Shelter.
While we all take home and food granted, and we are looking forward to Christmas, these people will not have a very festive season, but you can help them to stay warm and ensure that they can have something to eat.
£45 covers the cost of evening meals and breakfasts and one night accommodation.
I'm dedicating the last and coldest race of this year to this cause, which will be a 6 hours race around the Dinton Lake on 13th December, what I'm planning to win with Paul, completing about 1.5 marathons. :)
