Helping the Homeless in Cornwall

Hi Jodie here! I`m super excited to let you all know that over the festive season my team and I will be fundraising to help the homeless in Cornwall. All funds raised will be donated to St Petroc’s society, that works with single homeless people in Cornwall. Why I want to do this… After I watched a documentary on the BBC I realised how incredibly tough, lonely and demoralising being in this situation is for people. So, here’s what me, the girls at Hair by Jodie Young and the team at Sands Resort Hotel are doing to help raise awareness and some pennies for the amazing charity St Petroc’s Society. • Haircuts for the homeless On Sunday 3rd December I will be opening the salon and with the help of Ros and Caroline we are inviting the homeless to come and have a free haircut, a nice hot chocolate and a mince pie, and some yummy turkey and cranberry rolls. -The Grand Prize Draw Me and the girlies at Ocean Breeze Spa have made two amazing Christmas hampers with the best goodies in. We will be selling tickets for £1.50 each or £5 for a strip, all proceeds raised will be going to St Petrocs society. - Clothing donations In the run up to Christmas we will be taking clothing donations and other items that are urgently needed. Please deliver to Sands Resort Hotel. We will be taking donations until Friday 22nd December. - I’m donating my tips From the 1st December until we close on the 23rd of December I will be donating all of my tips to St Petrocs society. - Local Giving page If you can’t get to our hair salon during the Christmas time but would like to support St Petroc’s society helping the homeless in Cornwall, please use this page donate online. I feel that it is our duty as human beings to try our best to help one another and be grateful for the things in our lives that we take for granted.
