Help-Link UK Ltd are proud to be entering a team of 5 employees in the Corporate Challenge Leeds 10km Run for All event on 9 July 2017, now in its 11th year.
The chosen charity for the group is The Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust (CBFT) which is a registered charity founded to support older people in the South Leeds Community when they are most socially isolated at weekends, evening and bank holidays.
The team consists of;
Jack Fowler
Jack has run 10k events in the past and the Leeds Half Marathon. The 2017 10k does represent a challenge for Jack following a hamstring injury in 2013 at the York 10k. Having seen three physios, two chiropractors and a musculoskeletal consultant, Jack is making slow progress back into running.
Jenna Moss
Jenna has run a 10k event before and used to run regularly up until about a year ago, Jenna thinks she needs to up her training schedule for the forthcoming race! Jenna is looking forward to getting back into running, not only to get back into regular exercise rather than having to visit the gym.
Adam Westmoreland-Joyce
This will be Adam’s first 10k event and Adam is looking for-ward to using running training as part of his fitness regime! Adam was recently training for a role in the army by running three miles once or twice a week and is looking to increase his training schedule.
Gwilym Thomas
Gwil has been running a while and has done races from marathon to the mile. He was a self confessed running bore but thanks to a few injuries and the continued ravages of time he now takes it a little less seriously and bores a little less thoroughly.
Hannah Worrall
This will be Hannah’s first 10K event too. Hannah is enthusiastic about exercise but does mostly HIIT based training at the gym rather than long-distance running. Although expecting the run to be a real test of her endurance, Hannah is excited and is hoping it will motivate her to take part in more running events for charity.
