Team Fundraisers
We are back again for a spooktacular Halloween fancy dress paddle through Bedford and this time we are raising money for local charity, FACES.
Here's a Spooky SUP for you all to get your fangs into! Get your best Halloween outfit on and join us for a frightfully good fancy dress paddle through Bedford Meeting at Cardington Lock at 10am Paddling along the Embankment and Riverside North and back to The Longholme Cafe for brunch, lunch or just a hot chocolate to warm your bones (Bring your pennies!)
This is a free event open to all types of paddlers, from SUPpers to Kayaker and Canoeists. All we ask is that you bring along a donation on the day for our chosen charity or you can donate via our fundraising page
This event is for competent paddlers. Paddlers to bring their own board and equipment.
All paddlers are responsible for their own safety and river licence
PFD and leash is mandatory.
Waist Leash preferable, a number of these can be provided for the event if required but availability is dependant on numbers.
A few paddleboards are available for this event, there will be a usage fee of £10 for these, all proceeds will go to FACES.
You must be a confident and competent paddler. Please message to arrange prior to the event as these will need to be pre-booked.
About the Charity:
FACES (Family and Children's Early-help Services) is a well established local independent charity offering practical and emotional support to families under stress.
FACES supports local children and families faced with difficult issues such as mental and physical health, domestic abuse, poverty, child sexual exploitation and behavioural issues via a range of quality-tested services and family support groups.
