Charity trustee and director of Otley-based Greenholme Carpets and Flooring, Simon Thomas has his walking boots on again raising vital funds for The Principle Trust Children's Charity, Skipton.
Simon is set to take on a challenging 26-mile marathon walk on Sunday 17th July around the spa town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. He aims to raise £2,500 for the children's charity which provides free week-long respite holidays to children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions, or who have experienced poverty, trauma or abuse.
Simon, 62, who is a trustee and patron of the charity, said, “Over the past eleven years the Trust has helped thousands of disadvantaged, disabled and poorly children to escape their everyday troubles and create valuable, happy memories. Every penny we raise will help The Trust to extend its services to families across the entire Yorkshire region.”
The Principle Trust Children's Charity are a lifeline to many families throughout the region of Yorkshire. The charity aims to improve the quality of life of children who are experiencing long-term, life-threatening or limiting illnesses, disabilities and special needs, mental health issue or living in poverty.
