Team Fundraisers

Every week during term time 50 volunteers visit over 1,400 children at home. Each visiting team has their own 'round', a set group of children they see each week. Every home visit is different: sometimes it is a friendly chat on the doorstep, sometimes a deep conversation on the sofa, sometimes our volunteers are forced to eat all sorts of good food! Always our 'visitors' deliver colouring sheets for all the children, that tells children what will be happening at their local Kidz Klub Session.

Why they need our service

Children don't care what you know, until they know you care. Home visiting helps children know our volunteers care about them, so much so they visit the same children every week during term time come rain, snow or shine. Home visiting develops the relationships and friendships needed for the work of Kidz Klub to become deeply rooted into communities. Visiting also means Kidz Klub can connect with other amazing projects that help urban communities, like CAP or Toy Club.

Plan and expected results

Home visits make all the difference in the world. Home visits ensure that Kidz Klub remains rooted and in touch with the communities we work in. Many of our volunteers live in or are connected with the areas in which their 'visiting round' is. Home visits provide the kind of reliable support, trusted ear and friendly face that many families lack, in and out of inner city areas. Home visits with other work has brought about amazing change in many children across Leeds.
