A weekly visiting service to our house bound visually impaired members, coordinated by a paid worker. Volunteers will carry out the visiting, after training.

Why they need our service

Several of our members who have become physically disabled still want to keep in touch with their friends at Andover VIPs. A visiting service provides an excellent opportunity to chat with a friendly volunteer, to keep up to date with local news and focus on others in the club. This prevents isolation and depression, and gives members something to look forward too each week.

Plan and expected results

Our members will feel secure in the knowledge that someone cares about them, and that they are not alone at home. They will not be isolated, and they can still feel part of the Andover VIPs club. They can also focus on others within the group, and share their problems.
