Hello All, I started first running in late 2016, and in 2017 I ran my first HALF Marathon in Belfast, raising just over £3000 for the Northern Ireland Clown Doctors in memory of our dear friend Patrick Sanders. In 2018 I'm going further - to Dublin to do my first FULL Marathon on 28th October! This time, I'm raising funds for Homeplus NI. My Partner volunteers with Homeplus and sees first hand the good they do and also knows just how much they could use some additional funds, so please contribute if you can. Thanks for your time and of course, your ££ CASH ££!! Homeplus NI was registered as a charity in September 2000 to assist homeless people who were sleeping rough in Belfast. They were the first organisation in Belfast to provide a Street Outreach service operation to rough sleepers every night of the year. Since 2006 they have also been providing a Drop-In Centre for destitute migrants and in 2011 extended this service to asylum seekers and refugees. Their ultimate aims are to help people to help themselves and break out of the cycle of homelessness and addiction, and prevent homelessness. Homeplus provides: 1. A nightly Street Outreach service for all rough sleepers in Belfast. 2. A daily Drop-In Centre in Belfast specifically for asylum seekers, refugees and destitute migrants 3. A 24-hour On-call Service for rough sleepers, the public and service providers, such as hostels, night shelters, the PSNI and emergency services
