I will be taking part in an exciting zip wire from The Tyne Bridge on April 2nd 2017 to raise funds and awareness for ESCAPE Family Support.
Escape provide support to families across Northumberland affected by substance misuse.
I have suffered with acrophobia since I was 8 years old and it has caused me no end of problems throughout my life. I couldn't even stand on a chair! My kids have suffered as a result as I was unable to do a lot of everyday things so they missed out on quite a lot of family fun days.
I was given the opportunity to go on a TV show, Extreme Fears, Extreme Phobias to help cure my fear, and I am so glad I did as it helped give me the kick start to get over my fear. Since being on the show I have pushed myself to the limits, always striving to beat this fear. I think I finally realized how far I had come when I abseiled down The Orbit in London.
I don't think I will every be 'cured' but I will continue to push myself and help charities whilst doing this.
If you'd like to support a great, local cause then please sponsor myself and Daren. Every little helps!
We thank you in advance for your kindness.
