Unchosen is proud to be launching the first Human Trafficking Short Film Competition! Unchosen have collated 8 case studies from across the UK and Ireland which include forced labour; forced criminality; domestic servitude and sexual exploitation. The competition is open to anyone who would like to make a short film- amateur or professional- on the case studies provided. The winning films will be taken on an awareness raising road show tour throughout the UK and Ireland in 2014.
Why they need our serviceWhilst awareness of trafficking is growing in the public consciousness, the general understanding of what trafficking is often remains confined to sexual exploitation alone. This means victims remain unidentified and without access to the necessary support.
Plan and expected resultsThe winning films will be used to raise awareness about trafficking in the UK & Ireland so that victims are more easily identified and given access to appropriate support. The films will be used to engage a wide variety of audiences from politicians and policy makers, the media, schools and universities as well as the general public.
