On 19th of April 2015 I intend to run the ASICS Greater Manchester to raise money for the Mamcroft Advice Project (MAP).
Some of you know my mate Chris who recently lost his son Jack in tragic circumstances. Jack lived in in Norfolk and I have chosen this charity in the hope that your donations may prevent other young people from taking a similar path.
MAP opened its doors in 1991 as Norfolk’s first Youth Information, Advice and Counselling centre. Then, as now, we set out to offer all our services under one roof, and give young people time and space to access the best kind of help for them at the best time.
Demand for our services has increased over the 25 years since, and MAP has grown in response. We work with a young person’s whole range of needs on a long term basis; we build mutual trust and respect with young people, providing services in ways that best suit them. We aim to be a consistent source of support and advice for young people as they find their way.
