I'm running the London Marathon on Sunday 27th April! The London Marathon is one of the world's biggest annual fundraising events, supporting over 1,000 charities and raising millions towards so many causes.
I will be fundraising for Refugee, Asylum Seeker & Migrant Action (RAMA), a local charity in Colchester, and would appreciate any amount you can spare to donate.
Find out more about this voluntary organisation and what they do here: https://rama.org.uk/
Your donation to this local charity will mean a great deal, and will help to create a more inclusive and compassionate community in which refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals with no recourse to public funds have the opportunity to thrive. This page shows some suggested donation amounts on what your gift could provide. For example:
£5 will give a days destitution payment for somebody with no recourse to public funds, enabling them to eat.
£10 will pay for a Charity shop token worth £40 enabling clients in need to buy clothing that they arrive without
£20 enables RAMA to travel to do outreach work in some of the most deprived areas of the county
£50 enables RAMA to book a hotel room for a victim of domestic abuse who, due to immigration issues, cannot access a refuge
If you want to keep updated with my running progress, feel free to find me over on Strava! I'm in the final weeks of marathon training - so running for a cause makes every mile more meaningful. Thankyou!
