The Redway is an extra special school that provides for students with severe and complex learning difficulties. Cliff's great-great nice, Grace attends The Redway school and it was very special to Cliff as he was very close to his sister Lynda, who was Grace's Great Nan.
Cliffs Gransons, Cameron and Connor took part in the Milton Keynes marathon and relay marathon in 2019 in aid of The Redway School. Cameron got injured at mile 15 of his marathon and when Connor came across him during his leg of the relay marathon he picked him up and carried him for 11 miles until the finish. This was more than twice the distance he'd planned on doing without carrying his brother. He even made sure he crossed the finish line first!
All they could say at the time is that they were doing it for 'Grace' and for Redway.These boys made their family and especially their Grandad proud beyond words - their generosity, love and dendication towards each other was incredible and a true reflection of their Grandad.
