It is easy for a music club to stagnate into a cosy clique with the same audience members and performers. We hope to counteract this by increasing publicity activities, and attracting other local community group members. We are organising a competition with local college students to design a new Club poster with a prize for the winner, booking exciting new performers through the new chairman's music connections, and expanding the new website and encouraging participation on our blog.

There are too few live and affordable cultural events in Portsmouth which can interest a whole family from student age to grandparents.

We want to establish and expand an intimate and frequent chamber music event in Portsmouth of 20 concerts a year, providing an alternative to existing prestigious but infrequent concerts in Portsmouth.
