On Saturday 8th November, I’ll be taking part in The Light Group Big Street Sleep Out at Eureka in Halifax.
I’m spending a night outdoors to raise awareness and vital funds for The Light Group, a charity that works with people experiencing homelessness and addiction. For many, life on the streets can feel hopeless — but The Light Group is there to offer practical help, emotional support, and a chance to rebuild their lives.
They provide warm meals, clothing, and essential supplies to those in need, as well as recovery programmes, mentoring, and community support for people ready to take steps toward change. Their work brings light into dark places and hope to those who need it most.
Sleeping out for one night will never compare to what people experiencing homelessness go through every day, but it’s a way to show solidarity — to understand, in some small way, the challenges they face, and to do something that helps make a real difference.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards supporting The Light Group’s work and changing lives across our communities.
If you can, please sponsor me and help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, we can bring light, hope, and change to those who need it most.
Thank you so much for your support.
