This project will demolish the 50 year old toilets and build an enlarged toilet block in its place, fully satisfying current regulations, improving the general appearance of the building and preparing for the expansion project, yet it must be completed without closing the remainder of the hall.
Why they need our serviceThe successful Village Hall in Ipplepen cannot satisfy all of the local demand for space in our Community Building for the local events and social activities - we need to expand. But, we are not allowed to expand without fixing failings with regard to disabled access! The failings relate to the 50 year old toilet block with no proper disabled facility.
Plan and expected resultsThis project will benefit all hall users, but especially the disabled. In addition, it prepares our Community Building for the expansion of space, need by our local community, so that more innovative, educational, recreational and social activities may be hosted. We lost our county supported library, but we have already gained a Local History Group and the Ipplepen Film Society. Other ideas are out there awaiting space where they can be established!
