On Saturday 23 September I will be taking part in a sponsored swim to raise money for ESCAPE Family Support. The swim will take place at Blyth Sports Centre from 4:00 - 5:30.
If you are able to support my fundraising, I would really appreciate this.
In 1995 I founded ESCAPE Family Support (Charitable Status 1063500). For more than two decades the charity has worked hard to develop services that fill gaps in local provision and add value to commissioned services.
ESCAPE provides services to families and carers of substance users in Northumberland through our Family Support Project; services to substance users through our Recovery Project; accredited and evidence based training and interventions; and volunteering and peer mentoring opportunities through our dedicated Peer, Volunteer and Client Training projects.
ESCAPE’s Family Support Project currently provides the only specialist provision for carers and families of substance users throughout Northumberland and also supports family members bereaved by substance misuse. We work to reduce the impact of substance misuse and improve the health, wellbeing and safety of individuals, families and the local community to enable those affected by addiction and other risky behaviours to access recovery and realise their full potential.
