Instead of presents for my 70th birthday, I am asking for donations to a Hertfordshire-based charity called Space. Space work with children who have been diagnosed with Autism/ADHD and their families, including my eldest granddaughter, Juliette, who was diagnosed with Autism a couple of years ago.
These wonderful volunteers give so much of their own time and energy and are all parents themselves. Through Space, Juliette has made friends who face similar challenges in life, and taken part in loads of amazing activities such as trampolining, cookery, karate, raft building, archery, kayaking and even driving! Space also provides amazing support for families and has made a huge difference to Juliette's whole family.
Juliette is absolutely thrilled that her grandma has chosen Space for birthday donations, and thanks you so much (as do I of course!) for anything you are able to give xxx
