Local Mencap Barnsley are an amazing local charity supporting adults with learning difficulties. We are installing a sensory room within our new building and wanting it to be full of the most amazing sensory equipment a challenge I am taking quite personal as I am shopping round for all the equipment and quotes, the possibilities for the room are endless and costly to say the least.
So with the sensory room in mind I along with a group of friends are running the Great North Run I am personal trying to find funds to purchase a state of the art interactive mobile projection unit at a cost of over £7000.00, this one piece of equipment will be able to be used by everyone of all ages and abilities for calming or stimulating effects for entertainment and interactive games for individuals and groups or teams.
