Hi,
I took part in the 2014 Virgin London Marathon to help raise much needed funds for the children at St Vincent’s school for children with sensory impairment, based in West Derby Village.
Who they are:
St Vincent’s is a school of world renown offering its children as education consistently described as “outstanding”. The school specialises in sensory impairment and is the only church school in England for the visually impaired. It is home to up to 50 pupils including residential care.
Established in 1850, the school has a long history of providing its pupils with excellence. The Catholic Blind Institute est. 1841 aims to provide an environment in which our children, young people and adults are enabled to achieve a life of fulfillment, security and dignity, irrespective of disability, infirmity or age.
