This summer with 11 other intrepid explorers, I will be meeting one of the greatest physical challenges of my life, especially with a dodgy hip!!!
The reason - to support local amazing families through a great local charity 'Sporting Family Change' which I am privileged to have founded.
Sporting Family Change was founded in 2014, after I could see the huge need to give local people a chance, a chance others were not willing to give. I passionately believe everyone deserves an opportunity and has something to give in life, they just need to be encouraged and supported in the right way, to realise their aspirations.
Sporting Family Change uses sport to bring together families and individuals, regardless of their background, we treat everyone as equals. On a daily basis I have seen breath taking changes in people's lives, families flourish and individuals who had given up on life, transform into confident human beings.
Like all those climbing Kilimanjaro I have personally paid for this challenge, so that you can be assured that 100% of your donation will go towards supporting more local people and a cause very close to my heart.
