I have not done a big cycling trip like this before but I did not want to miss an opportunity to do this amazing challenge set by a friend (Adam). Plus why not help out my local community at the same time.
This trip Adam and I are doing will take no longer than 13 days with no support vehicle so will be carrying all we need by bike! By the end we will have covered around 900-1000 miles as we will probably need to make a few detours if we get lost (fingers crossed not too many)! We will start at in Lands End, Cornwall, and cycling up to the northern tip of Scotland, John O'Groates.
I am fundraising for this awesome charity as I have heard the amazing things they have been doing for asylum seekers/refugees locally in Bristol especially during this tough time where they might find it hard to get jobs in Bristol.
This charity works with refugees and asylum seekers to help them from exclusion to belonging. They help by doing Drop-In, Mentoring, Housing and Legal Fund projects and provide English classes, hot community meals, destitution support, 1-1 emotional and practical support, safe accommodation and access to legal advice (just to name a few).
If you would like to see how I get on you can follow me on instagram where our (Adam and I) trip will start on 13th of September.
