Last year I passed out after 20 km of the Hackney Half, so this year I'm back on 20th May, aiming to go 1.0975 km better, and doing so to support KEEN London. KEEN London is a fantastic local charity that provides one-to-one support at free sports and activity sessions for children with additional needs or disabilities. They believe no child should miss out on the benefits of sports and physical activity and with the support of amazing volunteers, their weekly sessions give our athletes the chance to play games, make friends and, most importantly, have fun! At the sessions, each athlete is paired with a trained volunteer coach for individual support. This means they benefit from one-to-one attention and care. It also means their parents can leave their children in a secure and safe environment. Over 100 families across London are members of the KEEN family. Each year KEEN London staff and volunteers provide over 6,000 hours of supported care to children with disabilities. KEEN London provides all of its sessions free of charge and rely on the generosity donors and sponsors to survive - so please help! You can learn more about KEEN at their website (www.keenlondon.org) and Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEAOBAInhVcKlgggjqi8b2g)
