Thanks for taking the time to visit my LocalGiving page.
I'm running for The Mark Gorry Foundation and Clatterbridge Cancer Care to help raise both money and awareness for cancer.
I visited Clatterbridge once as a child when my mum was there being treated. Seeing what it was like in a place like that was an eye opener. It was truly heart braking as during my visit, I saw a child around the same age as I going through treatment and it looked like hell. That said thought they are such a fantastic team and what they do for others is amazing.
I'm also running The Great North Run in memory of Mark Gorry who went to sleep in 2009 after a brief battle with Testicular Cancer. He was and still is a loved member of the O2 team :) I'll be wearing my blue MGF t-shirt with pride on the day and spreading the word about the importance of checking yourself for lumps and bumps...Come on guys and girls it's really important to check!
