I am involved with the Wilderness Foundation and manage their Down2Earth Allotment programme in Melbourne engaging with the local schools and community groups, growing a range of perennial and annula fruit and vegetables in various raised beds and poly tunnels. We have a number of volunteers drawn from the local community to help to maintain our 6 allotment plots. Always looking for new volunteers, if you would like to join me.
All the produce is distributed amongst volunteers and the local community group, especially those most in need.
I am taking part in the Midsummer Walk on the 22nd June to raise much needed funds for the Wilderness Foundation who run a range of programmes to help youth at-risk plus educate up to 3000 school children per year at their Chatham Green base. The children learn about food, farming and sustainability and they are encouraged to swop screen time for outdoor time and learn to love amazing connections to be found in nature.
Thank you for looking at my page and supporting me whilst I raise sponsorship for the Wilderness Foundation.
