I’m taking on the Faith in Families Sri Lanka Wild Highland Odyssey to raise money for a charity doing real, practical work supporting vulnerable children and families across Swansea Bay.
Important: I am personally funding the entire cost of this trip myself. Every single donation made here goes directly to the charity - not towards flights, accommodation, or equipment.
Faith in Families helps people who are quietly struggling - families choosing between heating and food, parents unable to work because they can’t afford childcare, and children growing up without basic essentials. Through their Community Cwtches and the Cwtch Mawr Multibank, they provide food, support, education, and a safe place to turn when life becomes overwhelming.
The trek will be tough and I’ll be training properly for it over the next year. I’m looking forward to the challenge, but the real purpose of doing it is to raise as much as possible for a local charity doing practical work that genuinely helps people.
Your donation directly turns into help:
£10 provides fresh food for a family
£30 helps heat a home
£50 funds specialist support for a child
£70 enables childcare so a parent can work or learn new skills
I’m not asking for huge amounts - just whatever you can spare. Small donations genuinely add up and make immediate, real-world impact locally.
If you’d like to support me and help families in our community feel a little safer, warmer and more hopeful, I’d be hugely grateful.
Thank you for reading and for any support you can give.
