On Easter Monday, I'm running my first Marathon.
I've have seen the hard work that all the volunteers at Cornerstone put in. Day after day they are seeing clients who are in a crisis situation or hurting from decisions they have made in the past.
Every year people from Cornerstone Care in Confidence help around 500 members of our local community.
Some of these people are facing an unplanned pregnancy and don't know where to turn or what to do. They are given time, space and non-directive information at Cornerstone. They are offered help and information in a non judgmental and caring environment.
Some are suffering because they have lost a baby to miscarriage.
Others are hurting because they have had a termination and are experiencing some negative emotional effects.
Cornerstone offers free pregnancy tests, free counselling, free baby equipment and supplies.
I want to help by raising money to keep their Centre open and all the services that they offer available to the local community.
