At The Vine Centre we have developed a comprehensive Journey Programme that provides 20 essential frontline services to homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged adults aged 21+ in the local community.

Why they need our service

Our established Journey Programme provides essential support to those in need by encouraging them to engage with our services so they can move towards responsible and independent living. This is achieved with practical support with a daily hot meal, washing facilities, housing and benefit advice, through to life skills including budgeting, IT help, literacy/numeracy and assistance into employment. All our services are provided within a safe, welcoming environment.

Plan and expected results

During 2014 - 15 we had 462 clients use The Vine Centre services. Resulting in 5314 occasions when the services were accessed, a total of 2804 hot meals were served and there were 1433 client support 1:1 sessions. Our weekly Job Club was popular with job seekers and long-term unemployed. 538 attended getting support with CVs, covering letters and interview skills, resulting in 21% finding employment. As a result of our support we had a total of 97 clients who volunteered at The Vine Centre.
