'We all have a story'
The Blurt Foundation's first annual event (the Blurtathon) and it's theme (We all have a story) really called out to me this year and so I knew I had to get involved.
For those of you that have never heard of The Blurt Foundation, they are a UK based charity who support people affected by depression. As someone who's had personal encounters with a lot of members of this small yet mighty team, they are doing fantastic work to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding depression.
The future plans of this charity include increasing awareness and understanding of depression and developing peer support networks and that's just for 2018!
By supporting this charity, you will be helping them to help a myriad of others who are struggling through mental illness, sometimes alone. The Blurt Foundation offers that 'knowing nod' that reaches out to someone in their time of need saying 'I understand', 'I'm listening' and 'I'm here for you'.
