Jude & Harvey’s Big Sleep Out 2018

I work for Calderdale Smartmove Charity and see daily how the homeless live. We believe everyone has the basic right to be housed and with our support we aim to find and help maintain secure accommodation as well as assisting with other issues. Myself and my Granson will be attending the Big sleep out along with 300 other people. Your donation will help whether it’s big or small. Your donations could help provide food, sleeping bags, clothing etc for every £5 raised we could provide pillows or every £20 raised could be emergency food packages So Why you ask? Homelessness is an increasing problem across the UK and Calderdale is no different. This event will give you just a taste of what it’s like to be street homeless. It cannot truly replicate what it is like to be scared, lonely and isolated, but it can help make a real difference through raising awareness of the issues affecting homeless people and raising much needed funds for Calderdale SmartMove, a local registered charity supporting homeless and vulnerable people across Calderdale. The Sleep Out will be held on Friday 9 November 2018 from 9pm until 6am the next day, at The Piece Hall, Halifax. The jewel of Halifax that is an awe inspiring 18th Century Cloth Hall that’s been compared to a Venetian Piazza. Thank you for taking the time to read my story :)
