I'm a keen runner and in 2014 ran the London Marathon for Wokingham Foodbank and CLIC Sargent, raising between them nearly £2,000.
This year having just run Wokingham Half Marathon in February and having just started a new job as Administrator for Home-start Bracknell Forest, I have decided to raise money for this fantastic charity.
Home-Start Bracknell Forest offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children across the whole borough. The support is free, confidential and non-judgemental, with volunteers visiting each family for two hours each. They also support referred families through the weekly term time Family Group.
Home-starts aim is to strengthen and enable families to give their children the best possible start in life; supporting parents, as they grow in confidence; helping to strengthen parents' relationships with their children and widen links within the local community.
