A Tandem Parachute Jump!!!...WHY???

Let me make this clear, I am not a crazy adrenaline rush kind of person who is going to be buzzing when I have dropped from the sky, I know a few people like this, one is the love of my life!... I am buzzing from a good dance workout, a good book, a beautiful scenic hike (feet on the ground stuff) you get the picture. The jump is on the 16th October 2021 and I still can't believe I volunteered to do it, it's way out of my comfort zone but I know I have to do it. 
I first contacted STAND in desperation as I needed to find advice and help to do with Jamies future after school. To cut a long story short Jamies options at the local College were limited and of no interest to him. We found a College that would have to be funded but was perfect for Jamies needs and provided him with a course that he wished to do. STAND offered suggestions, advice, support and really listened, not just to us but more importantly to Jamie. After 14 months of worry, stress and paperwork battles, Jamie received his placement at his desired college on a 2 year course. Jamie is now over a year into this course, he's happy and his work is brilliant -  we know we did the absolute right thing by Jamie. 
ALL children & adults should have the right to explore and have choices, their disability/ additional needs does NOT make them any less of a person or any less deserving. STAND fight for people like Jamie and we are eternally grateful.... Now its my turn to show support.
