So with 3 weeks to go, I have decided to throw myself into the Robin Hood half marathon on 29 September 2019. I write this with semi-regret as I am currently healing a knee injury with ibuprofen gel and a knee strap (the exciting life of the mid-20s)... However for those of you who know me, I am always up for a challenge and I cannot wait to complete the half.
I am running 22km/13miles to fundraise for Browne Jacobson's charity of the year, The Friary who are a local charity based in Nottingham. Their aim is to assist homeless and disadvantaged adults to rebuild their lives by providing practical services, advice and emotional support. Every year the charity caters for approximately 15,000 individuals who are suffering from homelessness, substance misuse, financial destitution and social isolation.
After seeing, first hand, how homelessness affects an individual, I am overjoyed to be fundraising for The Friary. Any donations, small or large, are greatly appreciated!!
Let's tackle homelessness and joint problems together (:
