Team Fundraisers

I have been associated with the Club for around 20 years, initially through my son Andy and daughter Claire both playing but then as a member of the committee. My current major role is Child Welfare and have led us through our last Clubmark renewal. Additionally, I also take on the role of organiser for 1st and 2nd team teas, tea lady and various rotas not to mention occasional scoring and bar duties.

Last year it became evident that a completely new self contained area for a kitchen would be ideal and as an additional benefit would increase the bar / lounge area making it suitable for a wider variety of events which would help room hires. We are incorporating this with some other improvements such as disabled access into a grant application which requires matched funding. Our initial grant application has been rejected so we've decided to raise some more funds ourselves whilst applying for other grants.  So the project is now - Karen’s Kitchen 2019

Last year I ran 1000 km and raised £4,000 for the project.  This year our cricketers  are helping me out by having a team effort to raise further funds for the project of improving the facilities in our Clubhouse. Kimberley cricketers will be running a marathon (26 miles 385 yards) of singles.  This is 2,098 singles to be run by batsmen.  This activity will involve many of our members both running, counting runs and providing refreshments. We are looking for donations of £2 upwards made by individuals on unique credit cards during April so that we can compete for the April Localgiving prizes. as well as gift aid on the donations.

Thank you in anticipation of your donation.
