As many of my running buddies know the Great North Run is my favourite running event. This September I will be running it for the 4th and possibly last time. I wanted to mark the occasion by fundraising for the other passion in my life, tackling poverty, especially in my home town.
Obviously it will take more than me raising a couple of bob whilst shuffling the 13.1 miles from Newcastle to South Shields to tackle poverty in Swansea but I do think we can all do something to help.
I'm very proud to be a Trustee at Faith in Families, a small local charity that supports children, young people and their families.
The dedicated team strives to improve the living qualities and well-being of children, young people, and their families. Helping build brighter futures and create a city where every child can reach their full potential.
I know that every penny I raise will be put to good use in Swansea.
