About

I have been associated with the Club for around 20 years, initially through my son Andy and daughter Claire both playing but then as a member of the committee. My current major role is Child Welfare and have led us through our last Clubmark renewal. Additionally, I also take on the role of organiser for 1st and 2nd team teas, tea lady and various rotas not to mention occasional scoring and bar duties. Outside of I have taken up running and plan to run 1000 kilometres in 2018 (that’s approx 625 miles). Last year we had a successful grant application to provide new equipment for the Club kitchen. In reviewing the installation of this new equipment, it has become evident that a completely new self contained area would be ideal and as an additional benefit would increase the bar / lounge area making it suitable for a wider variety of events which would help room hires. We have incorporated this with some other improvements such as moving the bar and disabled access into a grant application which requires matched funding. So to be proactive I have decided to fund raise in anticipation. I have decided to call the project - Karen’s Kitchen I want you to sponsor me as this project co-ordinates all my activities and improves the Clubhouse which is something that I am very keen on. Thank you in anticipation of your donation.
