Welcome to my lovely donations page and a huge thank you for taking the time to visit. As you are aware i've been married to Lindsay for many a year now. We met in 2006 and this is also when i was lucky enough to be introduced to his best friend Chris Pears.
I instantly knew that this cheeky Chappy would be a big part of our future, but little did i know that I would come to love this guys like a brother.
Previous to my meeting of Chris he had been in an awful car crash which left him paralysed and unable to speak. This did not stop Chris he fought hard to gain strength and try to regain some of the use of his legs; his fight to walk again never stopped.
Whilst on this journey he was introduced to the most wonderful lady that I know, Amanda Saville. Amanda had set up the charity 'Sports Driving Unlimited' which helps disabled people get back out there and start enjoying life again. Via the use of horse and cart driving she gives people with disability hope, passion and a sense of achievement. Amanda helped Chris gain his confidence and gave him a new passion. This helped Chris enormously as he now had a hobby and he traveled all over the UK competing with Amanda and her team. Unexpectedly in 2011 Chris suddenly died. This was a huge shock to us all and he is deeply missed. I had always said that I would like to do a parachute jump to raise money for Sports Driving Unlimited as a Thank you to Amanda and her team but life passed me by and I've never got around to it. Sadly, Amanda was diagnosed with Cancer and has spent a long time battling it. Throughout this time she put herself second and continued to help disabled people live life to the full. On 13th February 2016 Amanda lost her fight. I can honestly tell you, if there were more people in the world like Amanda, we would live in one fabulous place. So, this year for my birthday my lovely husband has arranged for me to be thrown out of a plane. Did i mention i'm scared of heights???!!!
