Please support me in my solo paraglide to raise money for Sheenam's Wish. Sheenam's Wish was founded by my college friend Sheenam Oberoi. Whilst Sheenam may no longer be a college student, she has not changed in her outlook in life, how she faces her challenges, and she still maintains her wonderful and cheeky sense of humour. To me, Sheenam will always be an independent and fun person who will not let anyone get her down
Why they need our serviceSheenam has JHD and was diagnosed at the age of 18. JHD is an inherited genetic condition that affects the brain and nervous system. It is a slow progressive condition that interferes with movements of the body, causes problems with cognition which can then lead to changes in a person's behaviour. There is currently no cure for JHD and the expected lifespan is between 10 and 12 years. Sheenam wishes to support other sufferers of JHD to fulfil their wishes.
Plan and expected resultsMoney raised for Sheenam's Wish will enhance the quality of lives of young people with JHD by providing recreational and other leisure time activities with the object of improving their conditions of life. There are only 100 young people known to have JHD in the UK. Help us raise £10,000 by Sheenam's 30th birthday on 5th November 2012. £10,000 needs to be raised to enable Sheenams Wish to support all 100 sufferers of JHD.
