Thanks for visiting my page. I am doing the London triathlon on 22nd July for Home-Start South Wilts.
Earlier this year, I started my company, CopyKat. I provide copywriting and scriptwriting services, as well as writing my own plays (shameless link to website: https://www.copy-kat.com/).
Each year, I will be working with a charity to provide some of these services for free, which I have been congratulating myself for, no end. However, I recently read an article in very reputable newspaper, that said, 'sedentary' is the new 'smoking'. It occurred to me that writing involves a lot of sitting, and I had better do something about that.
On the bright side, at least I can take up smoking again. But I digress.
As a favour to myself, I will be completing a challenge to raise money for the chosen charity. Obviously, this works out pretty well for them too. In fact, the only person who loses out is you - sorry. But don't worry, it's a start-up... it may not work out. Then we can reminisce about the CopyKat Challenge 2017 and all that money you gave (safe in the knowledge that I'll be too depressed to fundraise in the years to come).
So this year... oh this year!
This year, I am doing the London triathlon for Home-Start South Wilts.
I became aware of Home Start through mum, who started volunteering on the board of trustees two years ago.
It's an incredible charity that supports young families facing a variety of difficulties.
They do this by sending in dedicated volunteers to help. I think the charity is so important because it recognises that a crisis can happen to anyone, and intervenes to offer preventative care.
You can visit my blog to read about Lisa Helks' experience with the charity and the vital service it provides (shameless and manipulative link to website): https://www.copy-kat.com/single-post/2017/04/04/Charity-Starts-at-Home.
Thanks very much for your time... and all that money... so generous!
