In August 2013 I will be taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for Touchstones so that the children of North East Worcestershire can continue to access to the support they need to be able to cope with the loss of their special person. I will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours - the three highest peaks in the UK. I'd be most grateful for whatever you can give - every penny will be going to an excellent and much-needed local charity
Why they need our serviceI've been volunteering with with Touchstones for just over a year, helping out on the outdoor activity days at Blackwell Adventure Centre. It is such a privilege to be part of Touchstones, having the chance to work with children who have experienced bereavement and the effect it has on their lives. I'm always astounded and humbled by the courage and honesty they show when sharing their stories, and it's amazing to see bonds forming between the children. The whole thing is life changing
Plan and expected resultsEvery Touchstones Day needs funding,so please help me raise money for this vital service which gives children and young people new hope. It is such worthwhile work, so please help me make a real difference, and give me the incentive I need to get my weary legs up those mountains.
