KEEN4Chiara

Ciao! I hope you’re all doing well.
On the 17th of May 2020 I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon (21km, 13.1 miles) in support for KEEN London.KEEN is an absolutely phenomenal charity which I’ve cared about for a long time, and almost worked for part-time in first year, but the plans fell through due to mismatched timings. Therefore, I am extremely pleased that I am *finally* able to do my part in helping further KEEN’s work.
For those of you who have not heard of KEEN London before, it is a charity which offers absolutely free-of-charge sports and activity services to children and young adults who are abled in ways different to most. As someone who will not shut up about sports, I think you can see why KEEN has a special place in my heart. Offering access to sport and activities is, in general, of a paramount importance as it  allows a safe space for ‘kids to be kids’ and builds a certain character and camaraderie which I would argue, only team sports and activities can help build. This is even more so the case for differently-abled children and young adults who often do not have as many options available to them or who perhaps require more specialised care and attention when partaking in said sports or activities. 
With even the smallest donation, you and I can play a part in helping children, regardless of ability and background, relish in the joys of sports and other organised activities. Your donations will also act as further motivation to push me and hopefully get a great time out of the run.
I appreciate that not everyone is in a position to give monetary support, so even sharing this with your friends/family/club/society is already more than appreciated, as is any donation.
I will make sure to keep you all updated with my progress.
