Unfortunately the Bath Half has had to be cancelled due to the combination of the beast from the east and Storm Emma! I was prepared to run, but there you go. Anyway, I decided to go for a run on the day anyway - I needed to do something after all that training. So I undertook a 14.13 mile trail run up to a local landmark, Haresfield Beacon, along the Cotswold Way, through drifts and slush. It was satisfying to do it, even though it was chilly and wet at times. (for proof see pic attached - at the Trig Point, 217 m). I wanted to do it for all those who believed in me and who so generously supported Baby Check Bath. I am also running two weeks later - in the Forest of Dean Spring Trail Half Marathon, Sunday 18th March, and am looking at other races - Devizes on 8th April, Southampton 22 April, and the Hereford Half on 13th May (which I did last year). So I am happy to run one of these on behalf of Baby Check Bath. I'll even wear the offical t-shirt! So if you are happy for your donations to remain it will still go to their good cause. Thank you for your support.
Hi Kevan, my small additional amount is to top up your total. I'm happy for funds to go to the charity despite the Bath Marathon having been cancelled.
All the best - Clive
Wishing you all long-legged gifts, Peter and Kirsten
